Sales Executive – Data and Analytics (Retail, Restaurant, & Real Estate)

You will be joining Azira, a global Consumer Insights platform, helping marketing and operational leaders improve their effectiveness with actionable intelligence to drive business results. Its mission is to create a more relevant world where brands are empowered to reach and build relationships with their consumers, but also give them the freedom and the tools to do so.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Executive to join our Location Analytics division. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling location data and analytics solutions to businesses in the retail, restaurant, and real estate sectors. This includes working with retail companies to optimize site selection, enhance customer targeting, and improve operational efficiency; partnering with restaurant chains to drive foot traffic, understand customer behavior, and refine market expansion strategies; and collaborating with real estate firms to provide insights on property performance, market trends, and investment opportunities. The role requires a deep understanding of location-based insights, the ability to articulate the value of data in driving strategic business decisions, and a track record of successful sales within these industries.

A Day in the Life

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to identify new business opportunities and expand existing client relationships within the retail, restaurant, and real estate sectors.
  • Identify potential clients through research, networking, and outreach efforts. Proactively generate leads by leveraging industry contacts, attending events, and utilizing social media.
  • Effectively present and demonstrate the value of location data and analytics solutions, including customer behavior analysis, site selection insights, foot traffic data, and competitive benchmarking.
  • Engage with clients to understand their specific business challenges and needs, offering tailored data-driven solutions to improve decision-making processes.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers at various organizational levels, from C-suite to managers, to drive sales and increase client retention.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with clients. Close deals and achieve or exceed sales targets on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams:  Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer success teams to ensure client satisfaction and contribute to the development of tailored solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with trends and developments in the retail, restaurant, and real estate sectors, as well as advancements in location analytics technology and data applications.

What You Bring to the Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in selling data solutions, analytics platforms, or related technology services, ideally with a focus on location analytics or spatial data.
  • In-depth understanding of the retail, restaurant, and/or real estate industries, including key challenges and how location data can offer solutions.
  • Ability to understand and explain complex datasets, analytics tools, and their application to business strategies.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic sales environment.
  • Familiarity with location analytics platforms, data visualization tools (e.g., GIS software), and CRM systems and deliver a solution that uses multiple products.
